A word from Gale Hunt our new Curate:

Firstly, thank you for the warm welcome as I have settled into the curate’s house. I am really looking forward to meeting many of you over the coming months as I work alongside Paul.

Life is a journey and just as I am starting out on a new stage in my journey, there will be many of you who are also coming to the end of a stage and are about to start a new stage in your journey - perhaps you are leaving or changing schools or changing jobs or retiring. I wonder how you are feeing - excited, apprehensive, scared? All these feelings are very natural when we approach change in our lives, whether we are someone who embraces change or resists change.

Jesus tells us that we have no need to worry about what the future has in store for us, for God cares and walks alongside us in the good and difficult times.

New beginnings present us with opportunities to both learn from the past and take risks in doing something differently. God calls us to take risks, to step out in faith as we journey through life. I am looking forward to sharing in your journeys over the next 3 to 4 years. I hope to meet many of you at some of the Village Festival Celebrations.

By the way, you won’t see me wearing a clerical collar until the end of September - if you want to know why, please ask me when you meet me.

Best wishes,

Gale.
